The Innova Zenix is Toyota’s current-generation Innova, launched for the Indonesian market in late 2022 and built on a monocoque front-wheel-drive platform rather than the ladder-frame chassis of the older Innova Reborn. Why does the hybrid version matter for Komodo?
Electrification in eastern Indonesia is still uneven. Public charging infrastructure is concentrated in larger cities, so a full battery-electric vehicle can be a poor fit for long touring days in the region. The Zenix hybrid closes that gap: it recovers energy under braking and runs on electric power at low speeds, which is where a Komodo-region day actually spends much of its time — port queues, town traffic, hotel driveways — while still refuelling at any ordinary petrol station.

Does the Innova Zenix come with a driver?
Yes. All vehicles in this fleet are hired with a driver and fuel included. We do not offer self-drive. On unfamiliar roads, with harbour timings and local parking to manage, a driver is the difference between a smooth day and a stressful one.
Can seven adults travel comfortably with luggage?
Realistically, no. Seven seats and seven passengers with full check-in luggage is the one combination the Zenix does not do well, because the third row occupies the boot space. Four to five guests with luggage is the comfortable configuration. For genuinely large groups we will recommend a larger vehicle instead.
Is the hybrid version always available?
Not guaranteed on every date. Hybrid units are a subset of the fleet, so request the hybrid specifically when you enquire and we will confirm honestly whether one is free for your dates rather than substituting quietly.
How far in advance should I book?
For peak travel periods, as early as your dates are fixed. For ordinary weeks, a few days is usually sufficient. Early-morning harbour transfers and multi-day charters are the two that fill first.
