One day is entirely doable and most guests do exactly that, leaving before dawn and arriving in the late afternoon. Two days is more comfortable if you want to walk the Cancar rice fields, stop at Ranamese lake and sleep in Ruteng.
Can I visit Bena village on the same day I arrive in Bajawa?
Yes, if you depart Labuan Bajo early. Bena is roughly 45 minutes from Bajawa town, so a pre-dawn start usually leaves enough daylight. If your flight lands at midday, visit Bena the following morning instead and enjoy the drive without pressure.
Is self-drive available for this route?

What happens if the road is blocked by landslide or heavy rain?
